Dante Robino 2007 Malbec (Mendoza)

Smoke and earth notes vie with leather, olive, herbal scents and baked fruit aromas prior to a syrupy, sweet and cloying berry fruit palate. Lacks drive and spine as it comes across heavy, and the finish is syrupy and herbal, with a rubbery bite at the end. Michael Schachner
