Daou 2016 Cabernet Franc (Adelaida District)

Cellar Selection

Dense aromas of blackberry and black currant meet with hints of oak and pepper on the thick nose of this bottling. The density is impressive on the palate as well, where those black-fruit tones met with a pinch of spice. Not very Cab Franc-like, but an impressively dark and deep wine that will age well. Drink now through 2036. Matt Kettmann
