Daou 2019 Unbound Reserve Red (Paso Robles)

Cellar Selection

Very dark in the glass, this unctuous and savory blend of 50% Petite Sirah, 26% Tempranillo and 24% Tannat begins with aromas of iodine, elderberry and char. It's quite dry and toasty on the palate, full of purple fruit and flower as well as coffee and charcoal flavors. It's still emerging, so drink 2023–2033. Matt Kettmann
