It's always exciting to see still grapes used in sparkling ways. In this case, the Gruner Veltliner hits the nose with complex yet approachable aromas of kiwi, lime, white melon and peach blossom. The palate is a tad sweet, but full of likably apple and pear flesh flavors, with a persistent mousse. Matt Kettmann
