This wine is starting to show its age fairly quickly, but, for now, this works for and not against it. The currant-like fruit is beginning to raisin and the secondary notes of dried mint, Kalamata olive, licorice and dried violets are floating to the fore. Fruit on the palate is fading but this producer's signature tannins are still on full display, as is the oak. This is lacking some harmony as it ages, but it's nevertheless a likable drop. Drink now.
