Darroze 1983 Domaine de Coquillon Bas Armagnac

Opening nosing passes pick up nut/nougaty scents; plump, maple-like aromas of caramel, sap, baked apple and toasted almond emerge with aeration. Palate entry is sap-sweet, concentrated, candied and toasty; midpalate features resiny tastes of nougat, oak and palm oil. Finish is oily, woody, medium-hot and semisweet. Shows a quick furnace-blast of heat in aftertaste. Keep away from children and open flames. P.P.
