Dashe Cellars 2004 Zinfandel (Dry Creek Valley)

In this scorching vintage, getting the grapes ripe was no problem, but Dashe has done an admirable job at maintaining balance and elegance. It's a big, expressive Zin, stuffed with cherry and blackberry jam, prune preserves, datenut bread, chocolate fudge and spicy rum punch flavors, but they've kept it almost dry, with just a trace of honey. Delicious.
