Dauvergne & Ranvier 2004 Red (Côtes du Rhône)

A 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah, this offering boasts a lovely bouquet of chocolate and plum, but turns a bit firm and drying on the palate. Lacks lushness, but its structure might make it work well with rare beef or lamb. Joe Czerwinski
