Dauvergne & Ranvier 2016 Vin Rare (Gigondas)

Editors' Choice

Sensuality abounds in this voluptuously ripe, plummy wine full of concentrated black cherry and berry flavors. It's a fleshy, hedonistic wine accented by notes of anise, toast and vanilla. Ripe but persistent tannins frame a long finish. It's ready to drink now but should improve through 2028. Anna Lee C. Iijima
