Medium gold in color, this Riesling was partially barrel fermented and spent time on the lees. Both add richness and texture to this otherwise crisp and light variety. A slightly buttery, toasty aroma is accompanied by tones of red apples, tropical fruit, flower blossoms and white spice. There's a creaminess on the palate and more fruit and spice, but the finish is short and it doesn't quite deliver as much as the nose suggests. Christina Pickard
