90pointsDavid Girard 2005 Coeur du Terroir Blanc White (El Dorado)

What a complex, delicious wine this is. A blend of five Rhône varieties, mainly Roussanne, it has the richness and mouthfeel of a barrel-fermented Chardonnay, but a very different taste. The peach, citrus, buttercup flower, honeydew and cantaloupe flavors finish with creamy, cashew butter richness.
