David Hill 2018 Estate Riesling (Willamette Valley)

Editors' Choice

Ongoing vineyard renovations are paying big dividends at this heritage property. This richly fruity wine, sourced from 50-year-old vines, has marvelous tension between its sweet fruit and tart acidity. Technically medium-dry on the Riesling scale, it's a glorious mix of lemon, grapefruit, orange and apple flavors, with lively, lightly spicy acids. Paul Gregutt
