Sourced from Herb Quady's excellent Syrah vineyard, this was co-fermented with 7% Viognier, which brings a seam of blood orange elevating the tart purple-berry fruit. The flavors are broad and forward yet linger gracefully through the finish. Some 30% of the ferment included whole clusters, adding layers of herb and underbrush. Paul Gregutt
