Made from five small estate plots, De Bortoli's is textbook Aussie Pinot. Highly fruity and aromatic, it delivers heady notes of strawberries and cream with white pepper and a slight autumnal vibe (think: wild fungi and wet leaves). Despite being light bodied overall, with strawberry preserves and spice-flecked tannins, there's a power that nearly catches you off-guard, and a crunchy lift of acidity. Christina Pickard
