The vineyard could qualify for a Sonoma Coast appellation, being in a very cool location. The vintage also was a chilly one. The resulting wine is not opulent. It has a peppery, minty dryness and acid-edged tannins, with only suggestions of cherry fruit. Clean and proper, but feels like an off-vintage Pinot.
