De Martino 2015 Gallardía Cinsault Rosé (Itata Valley)

Funky aromas of burnt match and peach pit open this old-vines Itata Cinsault, which until recently was not one of Chile's prime-time varieties. Pithy flavors of citrus peel finish much the same. If you like an unusual wild-style rosé then give this a try but if clarity and cleanliness are what you're after, take a pass. Michael Schachner
