Delas Frères 2005 Chante-Perdrix (Cornas)

Comprised of fruit purchased from several growers and matured in only about 20% new oak, this is an authentic expression of Cornas, yet one with a surprising degree of elegance. Meaty, bloody and smoky on the nose, with hints of cedar and cinnamon, but with ample concentration of cassis and mulberry fruit. Complex and long on the finish. Drink now–2020. Joe Czerwinski
