Delectus 2008 Merlot (Napa Valley-Knights Valley)

This beautiful wine, which contains a few drops of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, does just what Merlot is supposed to. It's soft and sexy, with a velvety texture housing cherry, mocha and sandalwood flavors. At the age of more than five years, it's throwing some sediment, a good sign for further aging, but it's beautiful to drink now.
