Delfino 2018 Syrah (Umpqua Valley)

Editors' Choice

The complex aromatics shout out the varietal flavors of soy, funk, bruised black fruits, chicory, tea and vanilla. This is a fine effort from the Umpqua AVA, and moves the quality needle up further north from the Rogue Valley where Syrah has already been well established. It's a dark, juicy, pungent and detailed wine well worth your attention. Paul Gregutt
