DeLille 2011 Chaleur Estate Red (Red Mountain)

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (25%) and Cabernet Franc from Klipsun, Ciel du Cheval, and Upchurch vineyards, this wine offers brooding notes of bittersweet chocolate, assorted red and black fruit, licorice, mineral and high-toned dried herbs. Reserved in style, it's full of coffee and cherry flavors, with mouthwatering acids and enough structure to go the distance. Sean P. Sullivan
