Grenache doesn't always scream for cellar time, but this bottling, which includes 9% Mourvèdre and 7% Cinsault, contains all the bones needed for advanced aging. Aromas of violet, dark cherry, plum extract and hard spice are bold yet fresh. The palate is wrapped in firm tannins that keep the ripe berry, plum and sarsaparilla flavors in check. Drink now through 2031. Matt Kettmann
