Derby 2014 Derby Vineyard Fifteen 10 White (Paso Robles)

Editors' Choice

Nearly half of this blend of 35% Viognier, 20% Marsanne, 18% Roussanne, 18% Picpoul Blanc and 9% Grenache Blanc is aged in acacia, with the other half in stainless steel and 8% in amphora. That combo delivers broad toasty aromas that are light and buttery yet convey guava jam and honeydew syrup touches. The palate is rounded with pear, peach and Rainier cherry flavors, enveloped in a racy lemony veil. Matt Kettmann
