This fresh-hop pale ale is a seasonal classic, with a bright and intensely aromatic nose that's brimming with hop character: fresh-squeezed citrus, earthy florals, peach, apricot and underripe mango. It's medium bodied, with a slight slickness on the palate from flavors of orange oil and resiny pressed hops. Although hop characteristics are prominent throughout, they are not overpowering or overly bitter, with a bready malt core and cleansing carbonation providing balance and lift to the palate. It's easy for this style of beer to be taken over the top, but this remains one of the most well-balanced, harmonized and accessible examples available today.
