Coming from the cool 2011 vintage, this wine seems to bear more resemblance to Cabernet Sauvignon than Merlot with its notes of plum, herbs and bell pepper. The sweet cherry and vanilla flavors are buffeted by firm, dry tannins with a vanilla-filled finish.
