Devil's Share American Whiskey

The producer describes this as a “California Small Batch American Whiskey.” It begins with brewer's malt, then, aged in new, heavily-charred oak barrels, similar to how Bourbon is made. The end result is oak and hazelnut on nose and palate. This complex sipper also shows hints of juicy red fruit, espresso bitterness and plenty of bouncy spice: cinnamon, anise and cayenne heat.
