Devona 2012 Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir (Oregon)

The new Oregon project from John Abbott (ex-Abeja) kicks off with this vineyard selection from a five-star vintage. A blend of fifth leaf Pommard and 30-year-old Wädenswil clones, it's lush and aromatic, sporting bold scents and flavors of ripe raspberry and cherry fruit, with a spine of iron. Toasty new barrel accents punch through, with a clean crisply defined finish. Paul Gregutt
