DeWaal 2001 Pinotage (Stellenbosch)

An interesting note of bran flakes leads to blackberry, molasses, toast and sweet fresh herb aromas and flavors. This is clearly a wine that is all about the rich black fruit, which is accented by layers of oak, talcy tannins, and a char-washed finish.
