Dierberg 2009 Pinot Noir (Santa Maria Valley)

Shows the dryness, tannins and crushed brown spices of a classic Santa Maria Pinot. It's a bit strong and hard to appreciate now, but there's a good core of black and red stone fruits and berries that will emerge with cellaring. Try after 2015.
