Quite deep and rich in all aspects, this bottling from a hillside block of the Dijon clone 115 shows black cherry, mace, star anise and clove on the suave nose. It's a meaty Pinot Noir on the palate, showing both viscosity and grippy tannins while delivering powerful fruit flavors and a caramelized, vanilla-kissed finish. Matt Kettmann
