Dog Point's Chard style is divisive, but expertly executed. Medium-gold hued, there's a highly reductive nose of roasted nuts, struck flint, grilled melon, coconut flakes and a little buttered toast. The palate is as intense as the nose suggests, with similar flavors, but it's sliced through with a welcome line of citrusy acidity and a grilled fruit note that lingers on the finish. Drink now through 2030. Christina Pickard
