Dogwood & Thistle 2017 Oppenlander Vineyard Pinot Noir (Mendocino)

Elegant and focused, this medium-bodied wine offers great fruit intensity, fine balance and a light touch on the oak. It's made from Pommard clone grapes grown in a noted Mendocino coast vineyard, using 25% whole clusters in the fermentation and neutral barrels. It's not ripe but has tasty, concentrated black-cherry flavors touched with rhubarb and blackberry. Best through 2025. Jim Gordon
