Domaine Bellevue 2019 Red (Côtes du Rhône Villages Signargues)

Veins of salt and crushed stone lend a spry, mineral lift to richly concentrated roasted plum and cherry flavors here. A blend of Grenache and Syrah augmented by smaller proportions of Carignan and Mourvèdre, it's full bodied and intensely fruity but accented by hints of smoked meat, black pepper and graphite too. Soft in tannins, it's immediately enjoyable but should hold through 2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
