Domaine Bott-Geyl 2016 Schoenenbourg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Earthiness and flinty reduction for now cloud the nose of this wine. The palate conveys slenderness and a concentration that encompasses chiseled flavors of stone and orange edged with smoke, as well as ripe stonefruit tempered with tart apple. This wine is elegant, compact and wonderfully long on the dry, lemony finish. Anne Krebiehl MW
