Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy 2017 Red (Rasteau)

Savory impressions of wet earth, tapenade and black pepper lend complexity to luscious black cherry and boysenberry in this blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. It's ripe but restrained in style, anchored by a firm, mineral backbone and a long, spicy finish. Enjoyable in its youth but should hold through 2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
