A hazelnut-like, slightly lemony creaminess feels like balm on this wine's subtle nose. The palate also has a soothing effect, with layered creaminess that is made up of chalky depth, yeasty smoothness and gentle pithiness. Despite the ripeness and slight warmth of the wine, it has a cooling streak and tons of concentration. Drink by 2040. Anne Krebiehl MW
