Domaine Charles Baur 2017 Pfersigberg Grand Cru Gewurztraminer (Alsace)

The earthiness of russet-pear peel surrounds baked peach notes on this wine's nose. On the palate the pear peel turns into a fine, slightly but pleasantly bitter texture that sits well with the almost luscious sweetness of the fruit. The concentration is immense, helped along by the viscous smoothness of the ripe peachiness. Anne Krebiehl MW
