Domaine Charles Frey 2014 Quintessence Pinot Noir (Alsace)

A closed nose leads to a gently concentrated palate of tart aromatic red-cherry fruit pervaded by conifer notes. Very finely structured tannins create a texture of starched crackling silk while darker cherry notes lurk in the background and are met with juicy freshness. This is aromatic, elegant and long.
