Domaine Charles Frey 2017 Frauenberg White (Alsace)

Hints of sun-warmed stone and dried yarrow make for an intriguing nose. The palate has lots of earthy texture and a defining phenolic edge as well as a core of freshness. This unusual wine is more about texture than about fruit, but freshness and concentration are there. It's a wine for the table. The finish is dry and moreish. Anne Krebiehl MW
