Domaine Charvin 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Cellar Selection

Rich, ripe black cherry and dried strawberry flavors pulsate from the core of this powerful blend of 82% Grenache accented by Syrah, Mourvèdre, Vacarèse and Counoise. Sourced from equal parts pebbly and sandy terroir, it's a concentrated, complex wine marked by hints of sun-scorched bramble, thyme and meandering mineral tones. The finish is long and framed by firm, sandpaper tannins that will meld as the wine improves well through 2040. Anna Lee C. Iijima
