Domaine Comte de Lauze 2016 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Brisk, juicy flavors of black-cherry and boysenberry candy are accented by espresso and dried thyme in this freshly fruited blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. It's full bodied on the palate but maintains an easy, refreshing style accentuated by pert but fine-grained tannins. Enjoyable already the wine should hold through 2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
