Here Madiran's Tannat grape delivers a dark-colored, powerful wine, with dense tannins inside a ripe black plum envelope. Dark and firm, this concentrated wine needs time. Drink from 2017. The wine is named for Saint-Jean des Vignes known as the protector of the mostly Tannat vines that flow down slopes from the church in the center of the tiny village of Aydie.
