Domaine de Bonserine 2016 La Garde (Côte Rôtie)

Invigorating acidity and cooling granite tones juxtapose rich, baked cherry and plum in this wine. It's juicy and intensely primary in its youth but hints of bramble, bayleaf and lemon verbena add earthen complexity. Firm, fine tannins lend grip to a long finish. This well-balanced wine should drink well through 2035. Anna Lee C. Iijima
