Domaine de Bonserine 2016 La Serrasine (Côte Rôtie)

Cellar Selection

Layers of smoke, charred meat and peppercorn extend a savory contour to luscious blackberry and cassis in this wine. It's sumptuously textured but held upright by strikes of acidity and firm, persistent tannins. A bit tight and unyielding in its youth it should meld beautifully in a few years and continue to improve through 2035. Anna Lee C. Iijima
