Domaine de la Brunely 2019 Gigondas

Notes of charred earth, dried sage and roasted nuts extend from nose to finish, lending an earthen, savory tone to bright black cherry and plum flavors. An 80-20 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, it's an elegantly herbal, full-bodied wine that would accompany game or venison nicely. Best now–2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
