Domaine de la Côte de l'Ange 2016 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Black cherry and plum abound on the nose and palate of this fleshy, freshly fruited blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah. It's a robust, full-bodied wine but maintains freshness and even a touch of tart blackberry flavor on the midpalate. This approachable wine shows brightly now but should hold through 2028.
