Domaine de Saint Paul 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Notes of raspberry preserves and strawberry fruit leather expand from nose to finish in this full-bodied but freshly concentrated blend of Grenache (90%) and Syrah (10%). Vinified primarily in stainless steel, it's an approachably fresh, fruity wine framed in soft, feathery tannins and accented by a trace of peppery spice. It should hold through 2027. Anna Lee C.
