Domaine des Bosquets 2018 Gigondas

Editors' Choice

It's hard to name a favorite among Bosquet's fascinating single-vineyard study of Gigondas, but this blend of the producer's multiple vineyard sites allows a scenic glimpse of Gigondas as a whole. Concentrated with flavors of preserved black plum and cassis, the richly penetrating wine is marked by shades of graphite, dried clay and garrigue. It's ample and broad shouldered but maintains thrilling freshness and vitality through a long, feathery finish. At peak now through 2030, the wine is likely to hold much longer still. Anna Lee C.
