Rich, open-knit plum and preserved-cherry flavors are shaded by hints of earth, ore and violet in this ripe, creamy Syrah. Aged 15 months in barriques (70% new and 30% one-year-old oak), it's a decadent, oakier expression of Crozes-Hermitage than most but elegantly composed. Best now–2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
