Blackberry and blueberry flavors are fleshy and sun-drenched but maintain a purity of fruit in this richly concentrated Syrah. Aged 14 months in two-year-old barriques, it's a warm, embracing sip peppered by hints of tobacco, fig and sweet spice. Feathery, persistent tannins linger on the finish. Approachable now but should improve through 2030 and hold further. Anna Lee C. Iijima
