The Alpilles mountains, due north of Marseilles, have a dry microclimate all their own. This wine, with its blend of grapes found in the Rhône Valley, is warm, ripe and broad in flavor. Matured in traditional amphora and in wood, it is a rich, toasty, impressive wine that is now just ready to drink.
